Elaine Haun
Elaine’s experience in design started at an early age. Being the daughter of an architect, she was taught to view the world through the lens of design. After graduating with a BFA in Interior Space Planning and Design she worked as a designer at two Herman Miller Dealers in Boise, ID and Seattle, WA learning the inner workings of an office furniture dealership from marketing and design to sales. As a dealer designer, space planning to maximize the number of workstations in a space evolved to designing an organic balance between workspace, human space, and group space. Her creativeness led to visualizing the client’s point of view and translating that, so furniture relates to their space.
A talented Seattle architect shared that to experience the full spectrum of our industry you must work for a small company, a large corporation and for yourself. I am blessed to have done all three, currently managing my own multi-line independent representative firm covering the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada. Bringing beautiful and functional spaces to life through the A&D world with my manufacturers is an amazing experience.
